The Senior Farmers Market Program Application Process

The Senior Farmers Market Program application process in now live on the SCDSS website due to COVID-19. Seniors are eligible to receive $25.00 to be used at authorized Farmers Markets/Farmers. As you know most of our seniors who have the most need for the program, don't have internet access or know how to use the internet. I am requesting you and your organization help with signing seniors up that are eligible that you come in contact with. The online form is short and easy to complete and can be done via phone with the seniors (62+) permission. I know many of you have community health workers or staff that assist seniors in signing up for federal benefits. Seniors can apply until May 25th, on a first come, first serve basis until all benefits are issued.

I know this is a task, but many of our seniors depend on this program and are at risk of not being able to access benefits. If you know of any church, organization or health center,  that are able to assist please forward them this email. If your organization will help sign seniors up, please see instructions on the attachment. I have also attached the county voucher allotment. Share with your networks!
